How Neebo determines the default reference range for vitals?

With the current iteration Neebo, the reference range for heart rate is set based on Vital Signs in Children recommended by the American Heart Association.

At this point Neebo doesn’t separate Awake Rate and Sleeping Rate, but takes the lowest and highest parameter within the suggested ranges as its reference range. In the next update Neebo’s reference ranges will be separated and dependant on a child’s current state.

The reference range for oxygen saturation levels (SpO2) is 90%-100% and based on recommendations by the British Lung Foundation and “Oxygen saturation ranges for healthy newborns within 24 hours at 1800 m” research carried out by the Department of Paediatrics, University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, California, USA; Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya; Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya; KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, Nairobi, Kenya; Nuffield Department of Medicine & Paediatrics, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK.

The reference range for thermal state is 30.4-34.9°C (86.7-94.8°F)  based on “Observations of upper-extremity skin temperature and corresponding overall-body thermal sensations and comfort” research carried out by Wang, Danni, Nexant, Inc., Zhang, Hui, Center for the Built Environment, UC Berkeley, Arens, Edward, Center for the Built Environment, UC Berkeley, Huizenga, Charlie, Center for the Built Environment, UC Berkeley and own findings.
